  1. Zoe Hannah – you are so disillusioned. Grow up. If you feel and you think others feel unsafe because of trump, go to some country where safety is a real concern. But your just trying to make a name for yourself, get on the news and eventually cash out and your targeting a dumb puppet audience to get rich off of. I get it. Can’t knock the hustle.

  2. Hi. Looks like clicking the box below will get comments. but is there a way I can just get an email on your weekly posts?

  3. Zoe, I am watching you on CNN. Pretty good job but as an older democratic (female; progressive) I disagree with your assertion/affirmation of Carol Costello’s line that the white working class was left behind by Democrats. The first gentleman needs to be reminded that prior to Affordable Care Act insurance premiums were going up at a higher rate; we will have the same terrible problem before and after ACA if half the population can opt out of insurance; Repealing will cost him more again; the second gentleman needs to be reminded that under Democrats he at least has his social security- Republicans always and continue to want to privatize; the last gentleman needs to reminded Democrats have all fought and continue to fight for a living wage, Republicans don’t believe in it- never have never will;

Democrats have fought for the working class; continue to do so; their concerns will not be alleviated under Trump economic policies.

You have a platform — take the media to task!! there are major differences — to your point the tenor and fear mongering shouldn’t be forgotten or normalized and neither should progressives be apologists or scapegoats. We have never forgotten the working class –they just don’t want what we are offering.

  4. Hi- Just saw Ms. Hannah on CNN. Conveying the fear of a Trump presidency, etc., is, of course, on point, but PLEASE do not forget again to make a point of the very tangible and important point for those disclaiming a Trump presidency: HE DIDN’T ACTUALLY WIN THE ELECTION! Hillary did — the national popular vote. Trump won the Electoral College, and that will make him President. But benefiting from the rules at the expense of the actual “will of the people” does not a mandate make. So while your feelings & fears are subject to the listener’s judgment, the fact that he isn’t the one who actually won the national vote is something no one, with any intellectual integrity, can dismiss as not being a legitimate grievance, even if your are a Trump supporter. All a supporter can do is dismiss this fact with a “too bad” attitude, but it is a very effective counterpoint to the idea that Trump “won,” which is all that we’re hearing. Again, please, in addition to talking about your feelings, make it clear that Trump DID NOT WIN the vote — he won the Electoral College, and, therefore, will become President only by the grace of rules, not actual total votes. In fact, this should be your clarifying lead point in any conversation so it is not missed. Even Trump dissed the Electoral College in a tweet years ago — a great point to also bring up.

  5. Zoë,
I saw you on CNN, you were so confused. I’m a 54 year old white male living in Connecticut with my wife of 31 years. I’m about as foreign to you as I can get. If you read any of the Wikileaks you know Hillary stole the Primary from Bernie. The DNC playbook is to smear any Republican candidate. They have been doing it for Years with the help of most of the News Media. Trump had a private conversation on a bus that was taped, NBC held onto it for years until the right moment to spring it for the election. The MSM has painted Trump as a racist, sexist and the rest. This man has been in the media for 30+ years and never was this brought up. Yes Trump is a bully, but nothing compared to Hillary.

I’ve been working since I was 14 years old, I’ve watched wages go down, jobs go away and taxes go up and up. People in Washington and Wall Street living High on the hog. Hillary was on the payroll of Wall street (see Wikileaks again) You’ve probably never had to earn a living, put food on the table for a family. I joined the Army when I was 18 and did 4 years, I was a truck mechanic so thank God I never had to go to a war zone. Bush 1, Bill Clinton, Bush 2 and Obama have sent men and woman around the world to die for no good reason. Hillary would have done it too. She was not in it for us, she was in it for herself like she has always been but CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, NY Times and most of the rest of the media has been feeding people like you pablum and you probably never see the bullshit for what it is. I’ve been working and saving my whole life to hopefully retire some day, playing by the rules while people like the Clinton’s get over. She said she would raise taxes on the rich, (Her friends? RIGHT!). Here’s the truth, the rich have accountants and lawyers and paid for Politicians. They find ways to pass down any taxes to us in the middle class, we just keep getting screwed. Hopefully you can take that passion and turn it into something good. Don’t support the people in power. I’m not of the delusion that Donald Trump will fix anything. This was America’s protest against the status quo. People like you should have supported this as a big middle finger to those who control the system. He is the outsider, She is everything that is wrong with the broken system.

I hope you read this and try to see it from our side of the fence, I wish you the best and success in the future.

  6. Dear Zoe Hannah, please see string of emails below. I mistakenly sent an email to the wrong organization.

    Hi Ms. Arsenault,

Thanks for your email, but this is The Pitt News, Zoe Hannah runs a completely separate organization called The Fourth Wave. She has worked for us in the past but was not speaking on our behalf today.

I’ll forward this on to her.

    Thanks for your input,
    Elizabeth Lepro

I saw Zoe on CNN with Carol at 10am.
I am a 46 year old woman Canadian citizen who followed Election closely. I have admired Hillary Clinton since my 20’s as a feminist and was sorely disappointed at her loss & also that all the good she had already done & would do didn’t seem to come across. A bunch of us wore white, then black the next day.

Carol asked Zoe why didn’t more young people vote for Hillary if they weren’t happy.
Well, they did! In popular vote.
I just read the difference between electoral and popular vote.

It seems electoral voting didn’t work.

    I read this online:

“Although the Founding Fathers wanted the people to have a say, there was concern that a charismatic tyrant could manipulate public opinion and come into power. Alexander Hamilton briefly addressed these concerns in the Federalist Papers. The idea was that the electors would be a group of people who would ensure that a qualified person would become president.”

A young man protesting said to CNN live and appealed to Hillary to go to Supreme Court to overrule the electoral vote in this case. Seems he’s right, especially if riots worsen which I believe will. I predicted this a year and half ago.

I’m Canadian but this outcome affects the whole world. If I was a young person in US, I would get this message to CNN & every news outlet possible! MSNBC, ABC, Fox, newspapers, facebook.

Create a movement to abolish electoral voting as it seems it no longer represents the principles of founding fathers. With social media and cable news, it is not necessary Florida should matter more than say Virginia or other state. The latter details you will need to research and or talk to a lawyer.

I hope you pursue this as I want him out too. People revolting does create change.

Donal Trump is a racist, sexist, disgusting rich ‘golden spoon’ fed asshole.

    Best of luck,

    Lisa Arsenault

  7. Hello Ms. Hannah,

I hope this message finds you well.

I’m an Associate Producer with CBC News Network – Canada’s largest and top-rated national television newscast.

I am wondering whether you might be available for a short, live interview on our program today.

The interview would focus on the anti-Trump protests across the country.

Might this at all be possible?

Thank you so much in advance,

Associate Producer | CBC News Network
